Welcome to Purple N Gold. Am Willie and this is my blog. Am so excited to be writing my first blog. Before we get into anything else, how’s quarantine with you? I hope you’re holding up just fine it’s hard times and you could easily get irritated and loose track of everything around it’s normal I feel like that most of the time too. Don’t even try to beat yourself up for feeling that way instead allow yourself feel anything but don’t let it consume you, you could be feeling unmotivated,not able to do anything, it’s okay… remember that not doing anything is okay but don’t forget to take care of yourself. Wake up, be grateful for another#quarantine day, drink water,put in some exercise or yoga, take your bath, do your skincare,eat breakfast etc remember taking care of yourself is being productive too. I twitted something the other day: if you’re so fortunate to be with family during this period be grateful because at least you have someone to annoy you. I am not that fortunate to be with family during this time, I couldn’t travel back home and am stuck alone but am praying and hoping this ends soon so I can be reunited with my family because I miss them so much. If you’re in this same position as I am just know that you’re not alone and am sending lots of love and hugs to you, hoping you stay safe for me! So I’ve got a bunch of things I’ve been doing while stuck alone πyou might be interested in trying them out yourself. You could do this whether or not you’re stuck alone.
List of things to try out while in quarantine
π¦ Cooking: since am stuck at home I have to start cooking for myself am not really a big fan but I’ve been enjoying it so far. Playing with recipes and stuff
π¦ Sticking to a routine:it sounds cliche but honestly I’ve been trying alot to stick to a routine and I’ve found out that it has kept me on track and am more aware of everything.
π¦ journaling: am a huge journal fan and when this whole thing started I kind of lost track but am back and am so glad I found out am more aware of my thoughts and my day!

π¦ self care and pamper: yes pamper. I draw a hot bubble bath and drown in it(just joking not literally drown) just lay down for a bit allowing the water to calm me. Nail salons are closed of course and I’ve been enjoying doing my pedicure and manicure and am thinking I might never just need to go to a nail salon again, okay maybe once in a while π and also my hair has grown a lot since this lockdown and it’s because I’ve been taking care of it more. π¦ Reading: It is very important to read books especially books that can uplift you and add value to you as a person it can also calm you because in my opinion when you read, you simply take a voyage and enjoy everything. Am a writer too and I have a book on #wattpad @keembarbra make sure to check out my book celebrity!
π¦ Tik tok: of course I was gonna mention tik tok I mean everyone is there at this moment. Am a bad dancer but with tik tok I’ve not only been able to learn how to dance but also to entertain myself during this time.

π¦ Talking to family and loved ones: Now that am alone I find out that I am connecting with my family and friends allot more because it makes me feel closer to them at least.

π¦ Watch movies: what else to do than binge watch movies? I watch alot of my favorite movies some I’ve watched like a thousand times already and some new which am falling in love with. Comment and let me know what your favorite movies are and what shows you’re currently watching.

π¦ praying and meditation: it’s hard I know and I struggle too but I find out that am more at peace when I pray and hand over my problems, worries into the hands of HE who can help me and I meditate too from time to time. If you’re not a spiritual person that’s fine you could meditate it helps to calm you and allows you to control your thoughts more.

π¦ Hydrate: please please please drink water and get some vitamin D don’t ever forget and in case you did am here to remind youπ

π¦ #Stayhome#Staysafe: Because I love you please do help curb the virus by staying safe and staying home so all of us can go back to our normal lives. Remember that there are people who aren’t able to work because of this and there is us the students who need to get back to school.
